How long are prayers kept? Do they have a shelf life? Should we give it thirty days or much longer? Keep the faith, they say. Prayers sometimes stand in line, I'm told. They must wait for a more deserving prayer to be answered. Let's take a look at those prayers that are ahead of mine. Looks like everyone's prayers to me. I don't wait on my prayers to be answered, I figure that will work itself out. I have one favorite story about an answered prayer. I'm out of work, I need work shoes, I have very little money. I'm down at a Goodwill store looking for shoes. I have looked through a huge pile of shoes several times, no luck. I turned to go home, walked a few steps and thought, one more time. I went back to the pile, looked up to the very top, there they were, my shoes. They fit like a glove. How good that was.
