Thoughts for today

The cartoon for today, Should we ask or beg for something we don’t deserve? comes from my praying history. I’ve always wondered, how is the best way to ask God for something? Be specific, humble, and patient for results I tell myself. Fruits of prayer will always come to those who are patient, I’m thinking. Funny, funny, comes from the back of my mind. I get more out of a rant and rave than a patient, thoughtful plea. If you have never rant and raved to the Lord, you are missing a chance to get the fruits of prayer you deserve. I never swear in my plea, that only shows a small vocabulary, rumor has it. Yells in prayer must be done late at night and in a room where sound does not travel sideways. How embarrassing would it be to explain prayerful yells to the attending officer. Not all can do angry praying, that’s good. I don’t need some prayer person prior to me, pissing off the Lord before I get there.
